The CAP Code has been enhanced to deliver even more granularity to vehicle descriptions. The original CAPID is embedded into a new Enhanced CAP Code, which adds additional information to the string including CO2, Model Year and Fuel Type. As the number of vehicle variants increases and there is an increasing importance to be able to distinguish between different CO2 for taxation purposes, CAP Enhanced Code was an important development to ensure our customers could accurately identify vehicles to carry out business transactions. The development of CAP Enhanced Code is in direct response to customer feedback over the last 14 months. By helping to drive out error and consequent costs for our partners this is the latest example of CAP's strategy of listening directly to customer needs and then tailoring our expertise to meet them.
