CAP featured on ‘Tonight With Trevor McDonald
The views of one of CAP’s experts was featured on the January 12 edition of ITV1 current affairs programme ‘Tonight'. Business Development Manager, Mark Norman, was interviewed during the Christmas break by Quentin Willson for the programme which focuses on the used car market.
CAP was initially approached by the programme makers for background research on last year’s used car market downturn and the subsequent opportunities for car buyers to acquire high quality vehicles at historically low prices. The producers then requested an on-screen appearance, which was filmed on a fictitious used car pitch dubbed ‘Quentin’s Lot’ on part of the Granada studios Coronation Street set.
During the 20 minute interview Mark gave an overview of the 2008 market downturn and discussed the desirability of ‘buying with your head rather than your heart’ for consumers in the current market. He stressed the sheer value of modern smaller used cars in today’s economic climate as well as offering views on the practicalities of choosing vehicles from different sectors.
Off-camera, Quentin thanked CAP for contributing, describing Black Book in particular as the ‘real world’ valuation guide.
