ALFA ROMEO – Has confirmed there will be a choice of three petrol and two diesel engines available on the Mito at launch. There will be three models: Turismo, Lusso and Veloce. Ordering commences in October with first deliveries due in January 2009. Prices start at £10,975 for a Turismo 1.4 16V 95bhp and go up to £14,775 for a 1.6 JTDm 120bhp Veloce.
 
AUDI – Has announced that another engine is available to order in the A5 range. The new 2.0 TFSI petrol engine produces 211ps and goes from 0-62mph in 6.9 seconds. The A5 2.0 TFSI can be ordered with either front wheel drive or quattro permanent all wheel drive. Prices start from £28,760.
 
FORD – Are introducing a limited edition Fiesta Zetec S called the Zetec S Red. This model will be finished in Colorado red with a black and white chequered flag roof. It will also have leather seats and privacy glass. There will only be 400 units produced and it will be priced at £13,000 on the road.
 
Ford has announced prices for the S-Max Individual which goes on sale this week. Prices start at £18,195 for the S-Max Edge 2.0 145ps petrol Individual.
 
KIA –Has introduced two new special edition models for this summer - Picanto Chill and Rio Chill. The Picanto Chill comes with a 1.1 litre 64bhp petrol engine and features air conditioning, remote central locking and an ipod facility as standard. The Rio Chill comes with a choice of a 1.4 litre 96bhp petrol or a 1.5 CRDi 109bhp engine. Standard features on the Rio Chill include air conditioning, central locking, front electric windows, rear spoiler and 14” alloy wheels. Pricing for the Picanto Chill starts at £6,995 on the road and the Rio Chill starts at £7,995 on the road. Both special editions are on sale now.
 
Kia Motors America has officially opened its HQ and design centre in Irvine, California. The 22 acre site has cost $130m and will employ around 400 permanent staff.
 
LAND ROVER – Has announced a new Range Rover model badged as ‘Autobiography’. It will become the top of the range model for the 2009 Range Rover line up with standard features that include semi-aniline leather upholstery and 20” twin 7 spoke alloy wheels. Pricing is expected to be £72,995 on the road for the TDV8 Autobiography and £76,495 for a supercharged version. The all new Range Rover line-up including the new Autobiography model, will be announced at the British international motor show on 22nd July 2008.
 
TOYOTA – The 2008 Verso SR is to get more standard specification which includes front and rear parking sensors, new design 5 spoke alloy wheels, in dash six CD changer and a new DVD system option. It will be offered with a choice of two engines: a 1.8 VVT-i petrol or a 2.2 D-4D 140 diesel. Prices start at £17,545.
