AXON AUTOMOTIVE – The all new UK manufacturer has unveiled its plug in hybridelectric car. The vehicle combines full electric mode for local travel and uses a petrol or bio ethanol powered engine for longer distances. First cars will go on sale in 2011, with full production commencing in 2012.
INFINITI – Has announcedthey intend to build a four seat luxury model that will be electrically powered and produce zero emissions.
LEXUS – Has released details of their forthcoming super car called the LFA. It is powered by a mid front mounted 4.8 litre V10 petrol engine that produces 552bhp, goes from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 202mph. The car is built with extensive use of advanced materials. Only 500 units will be built and it will cost approximately £336,000 in the UK.
MAZDA – The new CX-7 is now in dealer showrooms and is offered for the first time with the 2.2 litre diesel that produces 173ps. The new CX-7 offers improved handling and sports car styling. Only one model is available, the CX-7 Sport Tech and it costs £25,785 on the road.
