Pierre Louis told me that 2008 has been a very difficult year for most manufacturers including Peugeot. It started like any other but since June it has turned into an extremely difficult year for the industry as a whole. He said they, like others, have seen a shift from people buying larger cars into smaller lower Co2 models. Most are downsizing and they cannot supply their small cars such as 107 and 207 as quickly as they would like. This should help confidence and residual values. He sees the new car market in 2009 being under two million.

Whilst they are not ideal for a long journey, they are acceptable and more comfortable than some of the competitors as more leg and head room is present.

The test car was the first opportunity to drive a right hand drive car in the UK and we were not disappointed with it. It was still as good as the memories of the one we drove in Germany, probably even better.
