Gerhard is responsible for all the ergonomics and haptics at Audi and is head of the Haptiksteam. Explaining the meaning of haptics (or haptiks in German), he told me: “It is the touch, feel and sound of a component. It is the characteristics and behaviour of each individual part”.

Hans-Gerd Bode is head of press and PR for Volkswagen and is responsible for all world communications. He has been at Volkswagen for a number of years and has travelled the world extensively. Paul Williams is a well known character in the motor industry and has had some high profile jobs over the past few years - the last one being MD of Kia Motors UK. Paul joined Koelliker a few months ago as they started being the official importer of Ssangyong cars after purchasing the assets of the old company. Koelliker are represented in three other countries and import a variety of vehicles, selling over 100,000 last year.
