ALFA ROMEO – Showed the MiTo for the first time in the UK. The MiTo goes on sale in the UK next January with prices starting from £10,795. Alfa Romeo announced that they will be launching many more new cars over the next few years.
 

 

 

FORD – Had the world premiere of the all new Fiesta. They showed both the three and five door versions and also showed the Fiesta ECOnetic which has a Co2 emissions output of 98g/km.

 

 

 

 

Ford also showed the Focus RS which is powered by an uprated 2.5 litre 5 cylinder petrol engine that produces 300hp and goes from 0-62mph in under six seconds. The Focus RS goes on sale in March 2009. 

 

 

 

KIA – Showed three versions of the concept five door Hatch called Soul. These early versions share the same body panels as the production car but had extra glitz for the show.

 

 

 

LAND ROVER – Showed the concept LRX which is expected to go on sale in the next few years.

 

 

 

 

LOTUS – Showed the Evora which has previously been known as Project Eagle. This all new 2+2 Coupe is powered by a 3.5 litre V6 engine that produces 280bhp. The Evora goes on sale in spring 2009 and is expected to be priced at around £45,000.

PEUGEOT – Had the 308RC-Z concept Coupe on display. It was confirmed to be going into production next year and it will look very similar to the concept version. Peugeot also said that the 3008 will also probably go into production.

 

 

 

RENAULT – The concept version of the Laguna Coupe was shown, this model is very similar to the production Coupe due on the market later this year. The doors will have traditional opening and the wheels will not be as large.

 

 

 

SEAT – Had the world premiere of the three door version of the new Ibiza called the Sports Coupe. This will be priced at around £500 less than the five door Hatch.

 

 

 

 

TOYOTA – The iQ made its UK debut. This small car is a three seater and will go on sale early next year. It is likely to be priced similar to the Yaris.

 

 

 

 

The Toyota Urban Cruiser was also on display and this will go on sale in early 2009.

 

 

 

 

VAUXHALL – Had the world premiere of the all new Insignia which is the replacement for the Vectra. Both the four and five door versions were shown but not the Estate. The Insignia is due to go on sale at the end of 2008.
