BMW – Will unveil the new Z4 sDrive 35si at the Detroit motor show next month. This new Z4 gains an extra 34ps over the standard car and features M Sport suspension, M aerodynamic body styling package, sports seats, aluminium carbon interior trim and M Sport multi-functional leather steering with gear shift paddles. It will be priced at £43,885 on the road and is expected to go on sale in March 2010.
CITROEN – Are now offering the ultimate DS3 experience at their Champs-Elysses showcase C_42, and will feature six of the new models in the showroom so that customers can see the DS3 in different guises. On the top floor there will be a specially created DS3 éclair made by a local patisserie.
SUZUKI – Has changed the model line-up on the Swift range. The GL model now becomes the SZ2 and the GLX becomes the SZ3, with both models having similar specification. An additional model, the SZ4, has been added and this has keyless entry, auto air conditioning and 15” alloy wheels.
THINK – The Scandinavian electric vehicle manufacturer has re-started production of the Think City. First deliveries will commence early in the new year.
VOLKSWAGEN – Has released photographs of the new 1 tonne pick-up called the Amarok. The Amarok is built in Volkswagen’s plant in Buenos Aires and will be available as a four door double cab at launch in September next year, with a single cab due in 2011. The Amarok name is not to be confused with anorak, and no doubt there will be some limited editions launched, probably called the ‘Star’, ‘Legend’ and ‘Diva’. The Amarok will be powered by a 2.0 litre common rail diesel engine with 122ps and 163ps power outputs.
