ALFA ROMEO – Will unveil the new Giulietta at the Geneva motor show in March 2010. There will be four engines available at launch: a 1.4 litre TB 120bhp petrol, 1.4 litre TB multi-air 170 bhp petrol, 1.6 litre JTDm 105bhp diesel and a 2.0 litre JTDm 170bhp diesel. To complete the range there will also be a 1.8 litre TBi 235bhp petrol engine. Sales are expected to commence in spring next year.
FIAT – Has announced pricing for the new Punto Evo, starting at £10,995 on the road for the 1.4 litre 8V Active 3dr, to the top of the range 1.4 litre multi-air 135bhp Sporting 3dr at £15,295 on the road. There will be five trim levels available: Active, Dynamic, GP, Eleganza and Sporting, along with five engines: a 1.4 litre 8V petrol, 1.4 litre 16V multi-air petrol (105bhp and 135bhp) and a 1.3 litre 16V multi-jet diesel (75bhp and 95bhp). All engines will have a start/stop system as standard. The new Punto Evo will be on sale in the UK from January 2010.
HYUNDAI – The new i30 model is due to go on sale on 4th January 2010. There are three trim levels available: Classic, Comfort and Premium, and three engines: a 1.4 litre 108bhp petrol, 1.6 litre 124bhp petrol and a 1.6 litre CRDi 89bhp diesel. Prices will start at £12,000 on the road for the 1.4 litre 108bhp Classic and go up to £15,550 on the road for the 1.6 litre CRDi Premium.
INFINITI – Has announced the unveiling of the Infiniti M model, which is due to go on sale in Europe in September 2010. Pricing and specification will be confirmed at a later date.
NISSAN – Has announced details of the new 2010 Qashqai. The changes include a new front end, LED rear lights and interior enhancements such as low level footwell lighting and a re-designed drive computer. Pricing will start at £15,395 on the road for the 1.6 litre Visia petrol and go up to £20,045 on the road for the 2.0 litre dCi Acenta diesel. The new Qashqai is due to go on sale in the UK on 1st March 2010.
The new GT-R SpecV is now on sale, with a limited run of just 40 units available throughout Europe. The GT-R SpecV has a new high gear boost control device that briefly provides boost to the twin turbo chargers for greater torque and acceleration when changing from intermediate to high gears. It also has enhanced features such as carbon ceramic brakes, revised springs and fixed rate dampers and a titanium exhaust system. The SpecV is priced at £124,900 and orders will close on 22nd January 2010.
