BENTLEY – Has announced a new range of accessories on various models throughout the range. These include vented wings with a black mesh grille (a chrome mesh grille for the wings is also expected to be due in 2010 as an alternative). Child seats with hide upholstery colour co-ordinated to the interior are available with the option of having the child’s name embroidered on the seat back (pictured). Also available are self levelling wheel badges that remain upright when travelling up to speeds of 70 mph, a protective car cover with the option of personalising it in the customers’ own bespoke text and a jewelled torch that is presented in a branded box and can be recharged in the cigar lighter.
LAND ROVER – The Discovery celebrates its 20th anniversary this week. First launched in 1989, it is currently being sold in 91 countries and has so far accumulated sales of over 900,000.
RENAULT – Has confirmed that they intend on producing the Fluence electric vehicle and will start production in the first half of 2011 at the OYAK-Renault plant in Bursa, Turkey. The Fluence will be launched firstly in Israel and Denmark, and then to other countries in 2011.
VOLKSWAGEN – Has announced the introduction of the new Passat Highline Plus model. It comes with the following features over the standard Highline model: chrome grille surround and louvres, Bluetooth telephone connectivity with touch screen adaptor and RNS 310 satellite navigation. The Highline Plus has a premium of £750 over the standard Highline, with pricing starting at £20,515 on the road for the 2.0 litre TDI 110 ps model. It is available to order now, ready for deliveries in January.
