Orders will officially open for the model next month with first customer cars expected to be due here in the first quarter of 2010. The UK standard specification will include LED headlights, magnetic ride, Bang and Olufsen audio system and an innovative new seatbelt microphone system which allows the driver to talk on a hands free phone with the top down on a motorway. The new R8 Spyder is priced from £109,580 on the road for the manual version and £114,670 on the road for the S Tronic.
MAZDA – Has announced that the new CX-7 is to go on sale on 1st November. It will be priced at £25,785 on the road.
SUBARU – Will unveil its boxer hybrid tourer concept vehicle at the Tokyo motor show later this month. It will be the world’s first boxer hybrid powerplant coupled with a symmetrical AWD drive system.

SUZUKI – Will show two new concept models at the Tokyo motor show later this month. The first one will be a Swift with a plug in hybrid system (pictured above left). It has been designed for drivers who travel low mileages and will be driven primarily on electric power. The second is the SX4 fuel cell vehicle (pictured above right). The system comprises of a high performance fuel cell with a high pressure hydrogen tank and a compact capacitor. The capacitor helps performance by recovering the energy used when braking, using it to reduce fuel cell loading under acceleration. It is currently under test on roads in Japan.
