CITROEN – Has announced a surprise unveiling at the Frankfurt motor show on 15th September at 10.00am.
FORD – Has released the first official photographs of the new C-Max. It is the first car to get the all new global C sector platform that will be used on many new cars in the future. The new C-Max will make its first public debut at this year’s Frankfurt motor show on 15th September. It will be available in showrooms from mid 2010.
MITSUBISHI – Mitsubishi and PSA Peugeot Citroen has signed a cooperative agreement that signifies new steps in their partnership on electric vehicles. This development is for an electric vehicle for European markets, based on the i-MiEV model. The new vehicle will be sold as both a Citroen and Peugeot throughout Europe. Production is planned to start in October 2010.
MINI – BMW AG has announced that two new Mini models will be built at the Mini Oxford plant. One of the new models is based on the Mini coupe concept and will be a two seater with a low roofline. Details of the second model have not yet been released.
PEUGEOT – Has announced the introduction of a new zero emission, electric vehicle called the ‘iOn’. It will be introduced across Europe towards the end of 2010 and is being developed in co-operation with Mitsubishi Motor Company (MMC). It will produce a maximum of 64 bhp and have a top speed of 80 mph. It will have an operating range of 80 miles on a full charge and can be recharged using a mains supply in six hours, or can be charged to 80% capacity using a fast charging system.
SUBARU – The 2.0 litre Boxer diesel engine is now available in the Impreza five door. The diesel Boxer engine produces 150ps, goes from 0-62mph in 9 seconds and has a top speed of 127mph. The combined fuel figure is 47.9 mpg and the CO2 emissions figure is 155g/km. Two models will be available: 2.0D RC and 2.0D RX, and prices start from £20,000.
SUZUKI – Has introduced the 1.9 DDiS diesel engine to the Grand Vitara SZ range. The new engine will be available on the SZ4 and SZ5 models, with prices starting from £17,975.
