CHEVROLET – Unveiled the replacement for the Matiz at last week’s Geneva motor show, the Chevrolet Spark. It will be available later this year and will come with a choice of 1.0 or 1.2 petrol engines.
Prices have been released for the Cruze four door Saloon which goes on sale in July. Prices start at £11,545 and go up to £15,195 (See press launch below).
LEXUS – Has released photographs of the IS 250C Coupe Cabriolet which goes on sale in the UK later this year. It is powered by a 2.5 litre V6 petrol engine that produces 204bhp and is coupled to a 6 speed automatic gearbox. The three part folding roof goes up or down in 20 seconds.
LOTUS – Has confirmed first deliveries of the all new Evora 2+0 and 2+2 will start in May 2009, only 27 months after the start of the project. The Evora is powered by a Nissan sourced, Lotus tuned 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine that produces 280ps and goes from 0-62mph in 5 seconds. Prices start at £47,500 in the UK.
MERCEDES-BENZ – Are producing a limited run of SL models which are restricted to 350 units worldwide. The SL65 AMG Black Series is powered by a 6.0 litre V12 bi-turbo petrol engine that produces 670hp. Only a few will come to the UK and will cost £249,500.
TOYOTA – Has announced the 1.33-i dual VVT-i petrol engine will be available in the iQ from late July. It will have a 6 speed manual gearbox and a stop/start system. Only the iQ 3 will be available with this engine. Prices will be announced nearer to its on sale date.
VOLVO – Are launching a limited version of the C70 called the ‘Ice White’. It is based on the 2.0d S model but has £2,350 worth of extra equipment including leather Calcite upholstery and 18” Midir alloy wheels. It is priced at £24,495.
