CHEVROLET – Will unveil the Spark, their new five door mini car at the Geneva motor show. It will go on sale in Europe later this year and will be available with a 1.0 or 1.2 litre petrol engine.
FIAT – Are to offer start and stop as an option on the Fiat 500 1.2 Lounge priced at £9,500. Co2 emissions are reduced from 119g/km to 113g/km with the start and stop system.
HONDA – Has announced the limited edition S2000 GT Edition 100 will be introduced to mark the end of global production later this year. The Edition is limited to 100 units and features Grand Prix white paint, graphite effect 17” alloy wheels, red leather interior and a limited edition numbered plaque on the kick plate. It is priced at £29,086.
HYUNDAI – Will show their concept compact SUV codenamed HED-6 at the Geneva show. They will also show the three door i20.
MAZDA – Has revealed details of the facelift MX-5 which has a new front end, power train evolutions and for the first time, the availability of an automatic gearbox.
MINI – Will unveil the John Cooper Works Convertible at the Geneva motor show on 3rd March. It is powered by a 1.6 litre twin scroll turbocharged petrol engine that produces 211ps, goes from 0-62mph in 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of 148mph. It goes on sale in the UK on 29th March priced at £23,470.
SEAT – Has announced subtle changes to the Leon and Altea ranges. These include a new front and rear, adding the familiar family face to both models with a new grille. Unseen changes have also been made under the skin.
SSANGYONG – A South Korean court has granted ‘court receivership’ status to SsangYong Motor Corporation giving SYMC protection from creditors and time to formulate and implement a corporate resuscitation plan.
SUZUKI – The new five door Alto goes on sale on 1st March priced from £6,795. It has a three cylinder 1.0 litre petrol engine that produces 67bhp and has Co2 emissions of 103g/km.
