ASTON MARTIN – Are to unveil the Vantage V12 at the Geneva motor show next month. Based on the V8 Vantage, the V12 will feature a 6.0 V12 engine which produces 510 bhp, has a 0-62 time of 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph. Production will be limited to just 300-500 units per year and prices will be confirmed at the motor show.
FORD – Photographs, prices and specification have been released for the Focus RS. It is powered by a 2.5 litre 5 cylinder petrol engine that produces 305ps and goes from 0-62mph in less than six seconds. Prices start from £24,995.
The new Ford Fiesta ECOnetic is now available in UK showrooms. The ECOnetic has lowered suspension, aerodynamic body styling and a gear change alert that helps to reduce emissions and fuel consumption. The Fiesta ECOnetic is powered by a 1.6 TDCi diesel engine that produces 90hp, has a Co2 figure of 98g/km and a combined fuel consumption figure of 76.3mpg.
MAZDA – Will show the all new Mazda 3 at the Geneva motor show next month. The cars will feature ‘i-stop’, Mazda’s new stop/start system that saves fuel. The new Mazda 3 MPS, the flagship of the range, will also be shown.
PEUGEOT – The facelift 107 is now available in UK showrooms. It has a re-designed front end and much like the Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1, it now has a lower Co2 emission figure of 106g/km. Its official combined fuel consumption figure is now 62.7mpg. Prices for the 107 start at £7,595.
PORSCHE – Will unveil the 911 GT3 at this years Geneva motor show in early March. The GT3 is powered by a 3.8 litre petrol engine that produces 435hp. First UK deliveries are due in autumn 2009, with prices starting from £81,914.
SUBARU – Are reducing the price of the Impreza WRX by £2,100 to bring it down to exactly the same price as it was in 1994 when it first went on sale in the UK. The WRX is powered by a 2.5 litre petrol engine that produces 230ps. The WRX is now on sale at £17,998.
TOYOTA – Has introduced two new models into the Aygo range. The first is called the Aygo Blue which has Bluetooth, air conditioning and Cayman blue metallic paint as standard. The other is the Aygo Black which has 14” alloy wheels, alcantara and leather trim and metallic black paint as standard. Prices for both models start from £8,250.
