BMW – Has released prices and specification for the 730Ld, the long wheelbase version of the 730d. It has an additional 14cm of rear seat legroom. The 730d engine produces 245hp, goes from 0-62mph in 7.3 seconds, has a combined fuel consumption figure of 38.7 mpg and a Co2 emissions output of 194g/km. Prices start from £57,735.
CITROEN – Has introduced a ‘family pack’ on the Berlingo Multispace. The pack includes an extra third row of seats that turn it into a seven seater. The middle row of seats has three individual seats that are foldable and removable. The family pack option costs £800.
FIAT – Prices and specification have been released for the Abarth 500. It is powered by a 1.4 litre 16V turbocharged petrol engine that produces 135bhp and goes from 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds. It is priced at £13,600.
NISSAN – Has released prices for the all new 370Z which goes on sale this week. The 370Z is 32kg lighter than the outgoing 350Z that it replaces. The 370Z is powered by a 3.7 litre petrol engine that produces 331ps. There will be three trim levels: 370Z, GT Pack and GT Ultimate. First customer deliveries are due in early July 2009 with prices ranging from £26,895 to £31,895.
SEAT – Has delivered the 1,000th Ibiza Ecomotive which has a Co2 emission output of 99g/km. The Ecomotive is based on the previous Ibiza with the new model Ibiza Ecomotive due later this year in both Sports Coupe and five door body styles.
Seat are set to produce a Leon Hybrid vehicle known as the “Twin Drive” which could be on sale as early as 2014. It can run solely on electric power for urban area use and switch to use a conventional petrol engine for out of town areas.
SKODA – Has announced a new engine and gearbox combination in the facelifted Octavia range. It is now available with a 1.4 litre TSI 122bhp petrol engine coupled to an automatic DSG gearbox. Prices start from £13,625 for the S model.
VOLKSWAGEN – The Passat CC 1.8 TSI 160ps is now available to order with a 7 speed DSG gearbox. It is priced at £21,865 and has a Co2 emission output of 172g/km.
